First LPL Win

Well I managed to win my first LPL draw with some Uruk-Hai

These were painted for a Song of Blades and Heroes warband to add to some other Uruk-Hai I got from ebay a few years back (painted by Jim Bowen, formerly of Foundry, not Bullseye, no less).

I might re-paint the bows a different colour (black most likely) as I'm not happy with them, any thoughts?

I have another group of 6 on my painting table (including Ugluk, a beserker and one carrying an hobbit) that should be all that I need.

Goblins

This weekends entry to the LPL, some goblins for my Warhammer Orc and Goblin Army. I'm intending to have around 30 of these chaps plus the new sneaky gits (which I'm holding back as a reward for getting twenty done...)

I've got the next ten undercoated and assembled, but have got distracted by painting Uruk-Hai for a Song of Blades and Heroes game down the club on Monday and drybrushing a small Werewolf warband for Fear and Faith (pics forthcoming!).

Managed to win a 2v2 game down the club on Monday. Dwarves vs Empire (10mm). Me and Dick managed to take down Barry and Dillon, helped mostly by the pursuit rules which stopped Barry rolling up our line with his knights and Griffon-mounted General. Forgot my camera though so no pics.

 Also had a 1500point Warhammer game in my flat against Pete from work. A close game, which saw me come out on top by about 50points. No pics thanks to the lights above the table not working! (Pete's army is mostly unpainted too)

Lead Painters League

I entered my first online painting competition last week at the Lead Adventure Forum.

I entered some European traders that I painted especially for the competition. You can see the post here: LPL5 Round 1 Entry. As you can see I didn't win my first draw, but managed a decent number of votes, which I was really pleased about. The general consensus seems to be I needed a better picture though.

This week I've put in the vampire children to go with my Vampire and bat for a Fear and Faith team. You can vote at this post Vampire Kids. They don't seem to be doing too well at this point though! Still its a good motivator to get figs painted!
